Create a WordPress Photo Gallery from Facebook Photos

Many of us store hundreds of photos on our Facebook profiles. While sharing your photos on Facebook is nice, it never hurts to import your photos to your WordPress website and add them to your gallery. Importing your Facebook photos to your WP site does not need to be that difficult. Facebook Photo Fetcher is a customizable plugin that lets you create galleries from your photo albums on Facebook.

In order to get started with Facebook Photo Fetcher, you should first connect your Facebook profile to this plugin. If you don’t have a Facebook account, you can always create one for free. You are also going to need a photo album on Facebook for this plugin to work. Once you have got it, you should grab your album ID from your album’s Facebook URL and add the appropriate short-link to WordPress:

There are a few other similar plugins that can be used to create photo galleries from Facebook photos. This one is flexible as it lets you import your gallery anywhere that you can add the above short-code. You are not limited to your own albums here. Other public albums (e.g group photos) can be added to your site using this plugin.

This plugin has a bunch of parameters you can use to customize its behavior:

  • cols: number of columns for your photos
  • start: the start number for your photos
  • max: limits the number of your photos
  • orderby: change the order of your photos in your album
  • isPage: shows photos from a fan page
  • isGroup: shows photos from a Facebook group
  • hideHead: hides header information of your album
  • …

Here is an example of how to use these parameters:

Overall, a pretty easy to use plugin and highly customizable. It is free too (though we encourage you to donate to the developers if you like this plugin).
