How To Add a Google+ Profile Widget to WordPress

Google+ is the latest greatest thing in the world of social media. Many folks are already talking about how Twitter is boring and Facebook is childish next to Google+. We are not willing to go that far. But there is no question Google+ has a lot of potential. Many struggled to get their hands on Google+ invitations early on. If you are already on that network, you should take time to encourage others to join you there. Adding your profile link to your website would help. googleCards is a simple plugin that adds your profile link in form of a widget to WordPress.

googleCards adds your name, profile picture, and an “add to circles” button to your website. I do encourage everyone to give credit back to the developer for this great work. The plugin is simple and does not have too many options at this point (Google+ is not that much older anyway). It uses caching functionality to avoid having to check Google for updates every minute.

It is never too early to get started with Google+. If you have spent time creating a profile and adding your information to Google+, you should install this plugin to start adding new contacts on that network.
