Those of you who have already installed Facebook and Twitter buttons on your website have already figured out how beneficial they can be towards helping your visitors help your work go viral. The jury is still out on how effective Google +1 button will be. It is safe to assume that Google will pay attention to these votes when going through your content. Thankfully, adding a Google +1 button to your website is not that difficult. You can easily do so by grabbing your code from here.

You have 4 buttons available to choose from. Many languages are supported too. Users can choose to hide the number of votes they get (useful if you have not gotten many on your site yet). If you want to get your hands dirty with the code, you can customize your buttons and the way they look on your site.

For instance, if you choose the small button and want to hide your vote count, your code will look like this:

Now here is the fun part: you can add this piece of code to a plugin such as ShareBar to have it show up next to your other social networking buttons. It is super easy to implement and worth testing at this point.
