How to Add Multiple Sidebars to WordPress

Most WordPress themes come with a single sidebar that looks the same across your site. That is not too terrible. But sometimes it is better to have different sidebars on different posts and pages. Multiple Sidebars for WordPress is a cool plugin that lets you create custom sidebars. That way you will have more control over what shows up in your sidebar.

The idea here is simple. Instead of settling for one sidebar for your site, you can have sidebars for posts, pages, custom post types, and categories. You can choose the order for your sidebars too. While you shouldn’t have too many sidebars, customizing your content per page is ideal.

Multiple Sidebars is not perfect but does save you time managing multiple sidebars on your site. If your theme does not support multiple sidebars already, this could prove helpful.
