How To Add SMS Subscription Functionality to WordPress

Getting people to visit your website for the first time is only one small step. Keeping them coming back for more can be challenging. You are going to need great content and promotional strategies to accomplish that. Giving people multiple ways to subscribe to your site feed is a good idea too. WordPress Text Message is a cool little plugin that adds SMS subscription functionality to your website.

WordPress Text Message allows your visitors to subscribe to SMS text message updates of your website. It has a widget you can add to your theme to get people to sign up for your feed by SMS quickly. This script does have a shortcode which you can use to add your subscription box anywhere without relying on a widget.

WordPress Text Message provides support for US based carriers. You can add and modify cellular gateways of your region easily. Text messages are sent to a text gateway to get routed to the appropriate number. There is a chance that some of your text messages may not be received by visitors but most will. I like the fact that you can remove subscribers quickly.

Not every one of your visitors may be interested in subscribing to your blog via SMS. But it is always smart to have the option available. WordPress Text Message makes adding SMS subscription to your blog easier.
