Google Drive is an exciting new service that lets you store your files online. You can use it to store your documents and other files and access them anywhere. The prices are not that expensive either. While I would not recommend storing your site backups on Google Drive, there are ways to do it. Backup for WordPress is a cool little plugin that lets you send your WordPress backup files to Google Drive.
This plugin is pretty easy to use. It sends the content of your wp-content folder to Google Drive. Don’t forget to add your Google API information to get started. You can also pick how often you would like your files to be backed up to the cloud. In order for your database to be added to your backup files, you will need to export it to your wp-content directory.
Backup for WordPress is not perfect but it is capable of performing Google Drive backups for your site. It’s a good start.
