How To Create a Q&A Site with WordPress

Answer sites are nothing new. Yahoo! Answers has been around for years. Quora and LinkedIn Q/A are pretty exciting too. Creating your own Q&A site can be quite lucrative if you plan it right. You have to find the right niche and find a way to keep your website different from what it is on the market. Of course, you want your community to have all the tools it needs to contribute to your site more effectively. Instant Q&A is a powerful WordPress theme that lets you create a professional looking website around your niche quickly.

Instant Q&A quickly turns your website into a questions/answers portal. Your visitors can easily sign up for your community and contribute to it. The template does have a reputation system, allowing you to reward your most active users. Visitors earn points for asking and answering questions. Your members get their own profile and custom log-in page. The theme does show popular questions and recent entries to better engage your visitors.

This theme’s settings page allows users to upload their ads, logo, Google Analytics code. This theme has 3 color schemes for you to choose from. 160×600, 728×90 and 125×125 ads are supported. Instant Q&A is social media friendly as well, though you want to have content on your website that is worth sharing.

I strongly recommend using plugins such as Popular Posts and Random Posts to let people know more about what your website is all about. A decent cache plugin would be a nice addition to your site too.
