How To Switch Users Quickly In WordPress

If you are developing a new portal, there is a good chance you have multiple accounts to test different things (such as roles, …). You can always use two different browsers to have multiple accounts open. That could be quite annoying and make you less productive. User Switching is a handy plugin that lets you log out from one account and get logged in to another account fast.

User Switching saves you time managing your testing environment. It works in multisite and MU environments. Only admins can change users. It uses WordPress nonces to keep your website secure. Here is the nice part: passwords are not revealed so your website won’t be totally gone if things go wrong.

As you can see in the above screenshots, you won’t have to search too long to find the “Switch” button. If you need to test multiple user roles on your site but do not want to waste a whole lot of time doing so, User Switching has you covered.
