Home Optimize WordPress for Retina Displays

Optimize WordPress for Retina Displays

Retina displays are quite fun to browse content on. If you own one of those shiny new Macs, you know how great they look. But not all sites show up great on retina displays. You want your website to be optimized for those types of displays so it looks beautiful and smooth to your visitors. WP Retina 2x is a cool plugin that creates the image files required by the Retina displays and shows them to your visitors.

WP Retina 2x not only creates the appropriate files for you but also gives you a warning if the resolution of the images you have uploaded is not high enough. You have the option to generate Retina images on the fly and disable the image sizes you don’t want generated for those displays. The script gives you two methods to create your images. It can be done on the server or the client side. The server side is faster but the client side is a bit more reliable.

WP Retina 2x takes the pain out of the process of optimizing your website for Retina displays. It is customizable and can make your website look even better on high-end screens.
